Milkmaid Yogurt ( Vietnamese Yogurt ) / මිල්ක් මේඩ් වලින් ලංකාවේ වැනිලා රසට යෝගට් හදමු..
INGREDIENTS :
METHOD :
1)Start with sterilizing jars and lids .boil the jars and lids for about 10-15 minutes . Remove them gently from the water and set on a dishtowel to cool completely .
2)In a large bowl ,combine milkmaid and hot water .stir well together using a spoon. Gradually add in room temperature fresh milk and whisk until all the ingredients are incorporated .
3)At last add yogurt and mix everything very well .
4)Pour the mixture into jars and seal them .
5)Place the jars into the rice cooker and fill the bowl with hot water that is a little hotter than warm water to cover the jars up to 3/4. (Or you can use a saucepan instead of a rice cooker .)
6)Let stand the jars undisturbed in the rice cooker for about 6-8 hours covering well with a clean thick cloth .
7)Once the yogurt is set ,keep the jars in the refrigerator until the yogurt is cold for about 3-4 hours .
